I have decided to continue the Ill Niño website on blogspot... There hasn't been much updates, and I think this is the perfect way to keep providing everyone with news and updates. And I save around 75 euros a year, which is also nice now I'm a student. Please update your bookmarks to illninoworld.blogspot.com

Man this is gunna be soo weird, so is it gunna be on Blogspot forever now then? but fair enough if its costing you alot and i mean ill nino arent doing much atm like with updates or street teams or anything, so would it change when they get a new label and become more active again?

Also are you gunna move the lyrics, mp3, videos, bios etc and all to here aswell? also are you gunna give it a proper background and stuff or cant you do that on blogspot?

but as allways i will continue to post anything i find on this guys and i might try and email Diego soon as we were in a bit of contact and see what they guys are up to if hes not to busy to reply cos i gave Diego and Laz a dvd i made about them when i was at college before i quit, but its very poor and amature and because of my failed ability at performing infront of the camera alot of shit is missed and it could only be 4 mins max which is shame but my tutors liked it, if anyone wants to see let me know and il try and sort something out, it was filmed back in october last year.

it would be cool if you could put that video on youtube. i'd really like to see it.
atm I'm pretty busy with an internship so I don't have much time to update the blog, but I will be adding extra stuff in whatever form.

Yoni, if you have problems with cash, i'm willing to chip in and keep the domain up. Everyone knows INW.com and it would be a shame to lose it

Yeah, you could ask for donations to see if you can keep the site up. It would be cool since they don't even have a regular website anymore.

I might only keep the illninoworld.com domain. Anyway, let's see how this blog works out. I don't think it's that big of a problem to trade the .com in for a illninoworld.blogspot.com account. I might need a little webspace to upload the lyrics, tabs and stuff.. I could easily link stuff like that from the blog.

I'm planning on adding the important stuff like biographies/discographies (it would be a shame if I don't use those album stories anymore), lyrics, tabs, song meanings etc. first. For guitar tablature I'll link to ultimate-guitar.com, which is one of the most extensive guitar tablature websites. All Ill Niño art is already posted on my deviantart account so I can also link to that. The criticism page is a little outdated, so thats not really important right now.

To keep the blog updated I can post a Ill Niño demo/b-side/live track or whatever once in a while. I can do the same with rare/old/strange photos.

Because there's not much going on with the band at the moment, I think it's best to make the site a little smaller like this and concentrate on the important stuff that's going on with the band.

Also that donation thing seems like quite a good idea you know, but i can see where your coming from Yoni what with money and shit and that the band isnt to active but at the same time i bet there is only a hand full of people who would donate, maybe put a sort of vote system up to see how many people would donate to keep inw.com or who would want to have the blogspot.com.

nah, I think donating is lame for only keeping the .com account... there's not enough activity in the band to continue with the real site; I think the blog will do just fine. Also, I'd like to communicate to the visitor that INW will be primarily a blog; having illninoworld.blogspot.com as a URL will stimulate that. It's free, easy-to-use and does the job fine imo

Also, the most important and active aspect of the old site - the tagboard - is working fine on the blog which is a good thing.

I'm planning on adding a tag-cloud in the menu to seperate certain categories of blog posts (with tags like 'tour dates', 'mp3', 'record label', etc.). I'm already giving each news post 'labels', something I wasn't able to do with the old news section.

that is fair enough man, i can totally understand where your coming from as long as its still illninoworld its all cool with me! and would be kwl for a change aswell, can you add background images etc to it aswell? if you ever need any help or anything man i would be honored to help out! how long will it take you to have it sorted all out?
